The Friday 5: Salad That's a Dip, Most Popular Recipes & The Best Follow
+ Saving $$ on Groceries + A No-Cream, Creamy Soup Recipe
Hi there!
It’s time for The Friday 5—your weekly dose of things to make, love, and save this week.
What’s Inside:
✅ The viral Green Goddess Salad that’s both a salad and a dip (it’s addictive!)
✅ The most popular recipes right now (hint: Blue Zones are IN)
✅ A cozy, creamy soup recipe coming soon—without the cream
✅ A wholesome Instagram account that makes scrolling feel better
✅ How I save an average of $78 per grocery order (and how you can too)
1️⃣ Making: Green Goddess Salad
If you’re trying to eat more veggies, make this salad! The Green Goddess Salad is part salad and part dip.
I love it with tortilla chips, and you can put it in a wrap or just eat it plain. It’s crunchy, packed with fresh herbs, and tossed in a creamy, tangy dressing that makes it a delight to eat.
2️⃣ Trending: Blue Zone Recipes
This post is blowing up on the blog right now!
Blue Zones Recipes are having a moment, and for good reason—people in these regions live the longest, healthiest lives.
Their secret? Simple, whole foods, mostly plants, and eating in a sustainable way (and delicious). If you’re looking for easy, nutrient-dense meals, start with these recipes.

3️⃣ Writing: Creamy Potato Leek Soup (without the cream)
I posted a no-cream creamy potato soup on Instagram Stories last weekend, and it instantly became the most popular story of the year.
It’s rich, velvety, and cozy—but here’s the kicker: there’s no actual cream. I got tons of requests for the recipe, so I’m putting the finishing touches on the blog post now (stay tuned…)
4️⃣ Loving: This Fun Instagram Follow
This account (@merriamwebster) is a gem on social media.
It’s fun, nerdy, and oddly wholesome in a sea of chaos. If you want to make your scrolling time feel a little smarter and a lot less soul-sucking, highly recommend giving them a follow.
5️⃣ Saving: Money on Groceries (without sacrificing quality)
We all know that groceries are more expensive than ever right now, so I’ve been extra intentional about where I shop. I use Thrive Market almost weekly for pantry staples like olive oil, avocado oil, nuts, seeds, and condiments—things that add up fast at the regular store.
The best part? I save an average of $78.25 per order (yes, they do the math for you and track it in your account).

Hi there Elizabeth. I really enjoy your recipes. I just want to offer some feedback on your thrive market offer.
I “joined” (meaning put my credit card in) because that’s the only way I could view offerings but after going thru the shopping process I decided this wasn’t for me as we have a great local co-op I chose to support.
That being said, when I tried to reverse the process and remove my credit card, I could not and I had to engage in a chat exchange with a non human who while they said all the right things, it was almost impossible to cancel my subscription and back out. They kept offering me lower and lower rates to continue and more stuff to entice me but they wouldn’t just cancel my membership until several exchanges. It left me with a real feeling of this business is a fraud.
You should be aware of this as while thrive market may work for some, it should be much easier to say no thanks not for me.
Thank you
Rebecca
