Happy December!
This week we have a delicious new recipe video on YouTube, valuable winter skincare tips, book recs, and a fun new photo of Maple…
Here’s this week’s Friday 5 👇
1. YouTube-ing: M&M Christmas Cookies 🎥
Get ready to bake up some holiday cheer with these delicious Christmas M&M cookies! This wraps up Christmas Cookie week over on YouTube, I hope you enjoy one of these holiday treats this year.
If you missed them, Chocolate Crackle Cookies and 5-Ingredient Almond Flour Cookies are also over on the blog.
2. Blogging: The Healthiest Natural Oils for Skin 💆♀️
Taking care of our skin is essential year-round, but especially during the colder months when it needs extra TLC.
I just wrote this new blog post to share insights into the healthiest natural oils for your skin. Discover how these oils can nourish and hydrate your skin naturally while leaving you with a radiant glow.
3. Unwinding: With Fun Fiction Reads
One of my favorite ways to unwind is by diving into a fiction book. The power of storytelling can transport us to different worlds, allowing our minds to wander and temporarily detach from everyday stressors.
I just finished The Guest List, a murder mystery about a, ahem, blogger and her wedding. It was a great distraction and extra entertaining as a blogger who just got married ;)
I pulled together a list of the fiction books I liked this year, check it out if you need an easy read to get your mind off of any holiday stress.
See the list full here, and here’s a link to all of them on my Amazon page.
4. Reminding All of Us…
Now that we’re in the full swing of the holiday season, I have to contsantly remind myself that I don't have to say yes to everything (and you don’t either!).
It's okay to take a break, say no to some events, and spend time relaxing at home. Don't feel guilty about putting your well-being first. Listen to your body and mind, and do what makes you feel good. Taking care of yourself and staying grounded is one of the best gifts you can give to yourself and everyone around you. So take a deep breath, embrace quiet moments when you need them, and recharge in whatever way feels right for you. You deserve it! 💕
5. Loving: Maple’s Favorite Spot
This is Maple’s favorite spot in the house. This rug used to be decor in my office, but it’s now 100% her dog bed in front of the warm fire.
It’s been extra fun to get creative this year being in our new house. I’ll share more next week with some holiday inspo and what I’m loving right now.
Cheers!
